SUMMARY

 From ancient times it can be seen that women are dominated by our society. And more closely if we look Civil Engineering field is usually dominated by men, as most of the people says Civil Engineering work is not for women as it’s works are challenges in the construction site or required to work over time.However it has found that the present era besides this, our society has proven women can do work in vast field. The construction of the Brooklyn bridge was accomplished by the first woman engineer ‘Emily Warren Roebling’. ‘Shakuntala A.Bhagat’, was the first Indian women civil Engineer who has worked in many field work and has shown it, women are no less than men in any work.

Nowadays many construction companies are searching for young women Civil Engineers.

 REASON FOR IT

 The civil engineering profession is one of the highest paid jobs worldwide.

Women are not easily distracted,as women are more strategic and focus their work achieving on time.

Women are the key rise for civil engineering, women gave and contributed to a team from different perspectives, thus creating a strong team and better posed to complete the project on time and on budget.

1.GOVERNMENT JOB

Many government jobs are there as a civil engineer like IES,PSUs and state govt. Special reservations are kept for women candidates in the respective percentage. Exams are conducted by the govt to get these jobs.

 

2. EXECUATION

As women can handle work more efficiently, specially we have seen the cooperation world engulf more than 70% women in office work.

With the help of many software like Autocad,Staadpro,3DMax,Revit,Excel,etc. Has made the work in a simple way. Execution of work as per planning to check all activities are going accordingly to complete within the time.

 

3. SITE ENGINEER

Many construction companies are providing an area for women to work in the site. Applying theoretical knowledge in practical fields and helps in problems that arise on site. In the meantime we can gain our knowledge as civil engineers.

 

4. CIVIL CONSULTANT

To give expert advice,the skills required for it are leadership,problem solving skill,good communication skill,etc.

 

 

5. WORKING IN TESTING LAB

Material testing,Quality testing,Research work, for this civil engineering experience is required in the laboratory.

 

6. DESIGN ENGINEER

After learning the different software like Autocad, Staadpro, Revit,Tekla Bim,excel,etc many companies has given an area for women to work inside the office. It also helps in opening their own firm.

 

7. TEACHING JOB IN MANY OF THE PRIVATES AND GOVERNMENT UNIVERSITIES

This distributes the knowledge among the young future civil engineering students. For it we have to complete our Btech,Mtech or Phd. It is one of the easiest jobs and indirectly it also helps us to prepare ourselves for any government jobs.
